Route 83 lanes to open

The new lanes of traffic for northbound Route 83 at Rollins Road in Round Lake Beach will open to traffic Wednesday, July 1, weather permitting. Northbound Route 83 traffic will shift east onto the new pavement and traffic on Rollins Road will be pushed outside to the new curbs, so work on the center median of Route 83 can be completed. Hainesville Road traffic also will shift onto the new pavement. Until then, Route 83 remains one lane in each direction to allow median and sidewalk work to be completed.
