Enjoy your own private getaway in Wisconsin near Lodi, Sauk and the Dells by purchasing a large home or a cottage, or maybe both, on Lake Wisconsin in Dekorra.

The current owner purchased both homes a few years ago, using the cottage for her guests and as a rental, and using the larger home for her family. The two houses are not adjoining and do not have any particular relationship to one another. In fact, there is a house in between the two.

But both enjoy wonderful frontage on Lake Wisconsin and superb sunset views. The larger, more modern home features a boathouse with a rail system to house and store a boat, while the cottage sports a pier.

The larger home was built in the Craftsman style in 2003. It is a one-story home featuring 2,665 square feet on the main floor, complemented by a 1,742-square-foot, walkout basement. It features five bedrooms, three baths, a great room, dining room, kitchen, office, laundry room, recreation room and two-car attached garage. There are three fireplaces and even an indoor hot tub.

It has solid beechwood floors through most of the house, travertine floors in the kitchen and slate in the lower level. the house also features fiber cement siding, Hurd windows and zoned heating and cooling.

The vinyl-sided cottage was built in 1960 and is much smaller and more intimate. It is a ranch plan home with two bedrooms and two baths, which are split between the 768-square-foot main level and the 563-square-foot lower, walkout level. There is also a living/dining room, eat-in kitchen, lower level recreation room, laundry room and sun porch.

This home has a new composite/fiberglass roof and access to a portion of the lake that is perfect for swimming and tubing. There is also a private deck, a fire pit, perennial gardens and a two-car detached garage.
