SCORE Spring Forum in Buffalo Grove Proves Beneficial to Small Business Owners

Author and former owner of two marketing research companies Bob Kaden spoke to a group of two dozen small business owners about "Guerilla Marketing Research: What you Need to Know to Make More Money." He also served on a panel of experts to talk about how market research works with business strategy and planning. Other panelists Mark Lieberman, Mark O'Brien and Michael Yublosky who respectively discussed business finance and accounting, technology and IT services; sales, marketing and public relations; and business-to-business marketing on LinkedIn the internet and Google search, as well as answered questions about the challenges attendees faced. Attendees ranged from solopreneurs to those from manufacturing companies.

"Bob Kaden was very informative as he emphasized the ever-changing business landscape and the importance of the 'customer,'" said attendee Holly Monger of HSM Insurance Consulting and Claims. "The panel was interactive and provided great information! It was also great to learn more about SCORE."

Among the main take-aways, business owners learned about the principles of marketing research used by enterprise organizations and how to apply them to small businesses with limited marketing budgets.
