Geneva to help with flood-damaged items disposal

Geneva residents who had water damage stemming from Monday's storm can have those ruined items disposed of for free.

The city is giving trash stickers to them.

To obtain the stickers, call the public works department at (630) 232-1501 to schedule a site visit and workers will verify the damage. The office is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

The damaged items can be thrown out on regular trash collection days June 25 and June 26.

Advanced Disposal is providing the stickers at no additional cost to the city, according to a news release from the city.
