Softball: MSL all-star game canceled; Fehlman Memorial rescheduled

The 22nd annual Mid-Suburban League Senior All-Star game scheduled for Barrington's Field of Dreams was canceled on Monday due to the heavy rains that hit the area.

It is only the second time in 23 years the game, featuring the top senior softball players from the MSL, has been canceled due to weather. The other time was 1999.

Courtney English (Palatine High School), the 2014 winner of the Nancy Frisk Most Valuable Player Award, will receive her trophy at a later date.

There is no rain date for this event.
