Castro does it again for Cubs

For the second night in a row, Starlin Castro provided a walk-off winner for the Chicago Cubs. Castro's one-out line-drive single to the gap in left-center drove in Chris Coghlan with the winning run in the 11th inning Sunday night as the Cubs beat the Cincinnati Reds 2-1 at Wrigley Field.

On Saturday, it was a single in the ninth that gave the Cubs a victory.

Jon Lester started for the Cubs and pitched 7 strong innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run. The Reds scored the games first run in the sixth inning. Speedy Billy Hamilton led off with a double and stole third base. He came home on a single by Brandon Phillips.

The Cubs then benefited from a replay reversal. Joey Votto doubled to the gap in left-center. Reds third-base coach Jim Riggleman waved Phillips home, and he was ruled safe on a close play. However, the call was overturned as replay officials ruled that Cubs catcher David Ross tagged Phillips before he touched the plate with his hand.

Dexter Fowler's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh tied the game. Ross led off the inning with a double and went to third on a sacrifice bunt by pinch hitter Jonathan Herrera. After Addison Russell walked, Fowler pulled his sacrifice fly to right field.

The Reds loaded the bases with no one out in the ninth against Jason Motte but Motte retired the next three batters to keep the Cubs alive.
