Climate alarmists need new focus

Mark Reynolds of Citizen's Climate Lobby probably cannot be convinced that "climate change" has not been settled. But 10,000 years ago, there were glaciers over 2,000 feet thick covering much of Illinois, which through "global warming" melted, creating the Great Lakes and countless other land features.

Climate alarmists who read your Monday, June 1 paper, should turn to see Section 6 "Cancer has changed me forever." "578,840 Illinoisans live as survivors of cancer." In the U.S., one third of all Americans are eventually diagnosed with some form of cancer. Half die from it.

My suggestion is to focus resources on a clear and present danger that threats every family, not some computer projected chimera.
