Candy Days officials say thanks for help
Several weeks ago, Misericordia Home (a residential home for children and adults with mental and/or physical challenges) held its 30th Candy Days fundraiser! Thousands of volunteers fanned out across Chicago and the suburbs, standing at corners, walking back and forth at intersections and waiting at train stations and storefronts to collect donations for Misericordia.
Our thanks go out to the residents of Rolling Meadows, Arlington Heights, and the surrounding area for contributing so generously to this cause!
We also wish to thank our volunteers, many of whom have donated their time even though they do not have a resident at Misericordia. Some of our volunteers have helped out for years; some were new this year. From the Boy Scouts to the members of the Rolling Meadows High School National Honor Society, the Misericordia Family members and many caring friends, we could not do this without you!
Thank you again for your generosity. It will truly make a difference in the lives of Misericordia's residents! Hope to see you next year - the last Friday and Saturday of April!
