Lake County Dance Showcase

The Waukegan Arts Council hosts the Lake County Dance Showcase at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at Gorton Theatre, 400 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest. The event is a showcase for dance students from across Lake County in various genres, such as ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop/street, folk and more. Performers will celebrate the refined form of Classical Ballet with solo variations from historically famous ballets. There will also be solo and group original performances in the ever changing contemporary style which is a mixture of ballet and modern. Tickets are $10 benefiting the cultural arts in Waukegan, and can be purchased in advance at www.eventbrite.com/e/lake-county-dance-showcase-tickets-16728426173.
