John Prine, '60s bands coming to Genesee

Three new shows are coming to the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan.

Country and folk singer-songwriter John Prine ("Angel from Montgomery," "Hello in There") performs with special guest Loudon Wainwright III at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13. Tickets are $45 to $97.50.

Hippiefest 2015 featuring the 1960s bands The Family Stone, Rick Derringer, Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels and Joey Mollard is at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4. Tickets are $35.50 to $65.50.

Zappa Plays Zappa, featuring Frank Zappa's son, Dweezil, on his "One Size Fits All" 40th Anniversary Tour, is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24. Tickets are $29.50-$152. There is also a Dweezil Zappa Guitar Master Class for $75 that same day at 3:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale noon Tuesday, June 16.
