Waukegan man arrested in undercover sting

A Waukegan man was arrested after going to meet an undercover police detective posing as a 14-year-old boy, authorities said Saturday.

Erick J. Arroyo Acosta, 19, of the 200 block of Julian Street, was charged with traveling to meet a minor and unlawful possession of alcohol.

Arroyo Acosta had contacted the detective through a mobile social networking app, Lake County sheriff's police said. They arranged to meet at 6 p.m. Friday at a location not released by police. Arroyo Acosta was arrested there, police said.

Arroyo Acosta is being held in the Lake County jail on $25,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday,
