See Elgin Fringe Fest poster, meet artist tonight at Martini Room

Meet the artist behind the limited edition poster for this year's Elgin Fringe Festival from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at Martini Room, 161 E. Chicago St. in downtown Elgin. This year's Poster Release party features original artwork by Elgin artist Chris Hodge.

"The amazing original artwork has been printed in a very limited edition poster for this year's festival," said artistic director Erin Rehberg. "This is the public's first chance to purchase this one of a kind poster."

Additionally, Elgin Fringe Festival buttons will be on sale along with the posters and Rehberg will be at the event to answers any questions about this year's Elgin Fringe Festival.

"Pick up a poster, meet the artist, and sip a martini," added Rehberg. "This is going to be a fun, casual event."

The Elgin Fringe Festival enters its second year after its highly successful 2014 debut where it drew an estimated 2,000 audience members, presented more than 100 performances at various downtown Elgin venues. The festival received the prestigious Elgin Image Award for its efforts and is expanding this year's offerings. For more information, go to www.elginfringefestival.com.
