Hampshire-Henpeck HCE to hold June 16 luncheon at Ellwood House

This month's meeting of Hampshire-Henpeck HCE, a unit of Kane County Association for Home and Community Education, will be a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, at Ellwood Steak and Fish House, 2219 Sycamore Road in DeKalb. This month's meeting was arranged by cultural enrichment director Jan Ihssen.

Hampshire-Henpeck HCE Unit enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at the 97th annual meeting of Kane County Home & Community Education Association May 13 at the Mill Creek Golf Club in Geneva. Four of the local members celebrated anniversaries: Frances Kreutzer, 25 years; Pat Lehman and Marilyn Dorsey, 15 years; and Peggy Veach, 5 years.

The Hampshire-Henpeck HCE Unit was presented with award certificates in five categories: community outreach, cultural enrichment, international, public relations and membership.
