Artists can enter works for neXt gallery in St. Charles
The St. Charles Arts Council is sponsoring the "next" neXt gallery, a pop-up art gallery program. Visual artists are invited to submit their work for jurying.
The neXt gallery is a visual artist support program of the St. Charles Arts Council. The gallery on West Main Street will be the 15th gallery in this program. One hundred percent of the selling price of the work goes to the artist. The galleries are actively promoted in social and print media, and the artwork is insured.
Entries for West Main Street can be in any style or medium.

The program is juried. Jury fee is waived for arts council members. Nonmembers fee is $20 total, regardless of the number of pieces submitted. Fee is nonrefundable and can be mailed to St. Charles Arts Council, 2 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL 60174.
Artists interested in becoming arts council members, go to StCharlesArtsCouncil.org and click on "Donations" to make your membership payment.
Artists may submit up to 10 pieces for jurying. Jurors may select one or more pieces from each artist.
If you wish to submit an entry, email jpg images of the artwork that you would like to enter. Only emailed entries will be accepted. Each image should be 500 KB or less in size for ease of sending, receiving and jurying. Include for each image the title of the piece, medium, dimensions and selling price.
Images must be submitted by noon Friday, June 19. Artists will be notified of the jury's selection on or by Friday, June 27. Receipt of work will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 5, and 4 to 7 p.m. Monday July 6.
The gallery will be open Thursday, July 9, through Sunday, Aug. 2. Opening reception will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 9.
The gallery will be staffed by volunteers and artists. It is not mandatory for artists to staff the gallery, but it is strongly encouraged. The artwork will be in the gallery on consignment.
The artist exhibition fee is $40. The St. Charles Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and cannot take a commission on artwork sold. Illinois state sales tax will be collected and will be the responsibility of the artist to pay to the state. The arts council has liability insurance to cover the insurance value of the art in the gallery.
All artwork must be ready to hang/install. Sculpture pedestals/stands must be provided by the artist. All artwork must be for sale. Delivery and pickup of the artwork will be the artist's responsibility.
