Gurnee police crackdown results
Gurnee police have announced results from a recent traffic enforcement crackdown. The effort, which ran from May 11 to 25, resulted in three drug and/or alcohol arrests and 47 seat belt violations. Police said the stopped 69 vehicles on the special detail that focused on impaired drivers and seat belt enforcement. The effort was funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
