Cover bands to play Arlington Heights concert series

The stage is set in Harmony Park for another season of eclectic outdoor music, every Thursday and Friday from June 4-Aug. 6.

"Unplugged Thursdays" and "Friday Sounds of Summer" concerts offer a variety of rock, blues and jazz, brass bands, big bands and community bands.

All concerts are 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Harmony Park at Vail and Campbell, Arlington Heights.

Concerts are free. Bring chairs and blankets. Concerts will be canceled in case of bad or scary weather.

5 Deacon Blues, covers of Steely Dan

11 Reunion Jazz Orchestra, an 18-piece big band

12 Heartache Tonight, the Eagles tribute band.

18 Second Time Around, plays classic rock from the '60s and '70s.

19 Centerfold, playing rock classics and pop favorites.

25 Arlington Heights Community Concert Band, 80-piece ensemble playing light classics, marches, show tunes.

26 Billy Elton, the music of Billy Joel and Elton John

9 Northwest Highwaymen, covers of Mumford & Sons, Johnny Cash, Talking Heads, more.

10 Trippin Billies, Dave Matthews tribute band.

16 Prairie Brass Band

17 No concert; instead, visit Irish Fest at the Arlington Heights Museum grounds

23 Arranmore, playing Irish, American, folk music

24 Britbeat, a Beatles tribute band

30 Million Dollar Blues Band

31 Blooze Brothers, music of the Blues Brothers

6 Skip Towne & The Greyhounds, playing blues, jazz, swing and ballads.
