Retired teachers to meet June 9

The Lake County Retired Teachers Association will meet at noon Tuesday, June 9, at Lambs Farm restaurant at Route 176 and I-94, near Libertyville. The guest speaker is Jim Bachman, executive director of the Illinois Retired Teachers Association. Expect to hear from him his opinion on the recent Illinois Supreme Court decision on pension reform and what that means to teachers for now and in the future. All retired educators are welcome to attend and no reservations are necessary. The cost is $16 per person for the buffet luncheon and meeting.
