Plans for Hoffman Estates Culver's resume

Plans for a new Culver's restaurant and Mobil gas station at the southwest corner of Route 59 and Hoffman Boulevard in Hoffman Estates are back on track after a renewal of prior approvals.

Peter Gugliotta, Hoffman Estates' director of planning, building and code enforcement, said a special-use permit allowing the development had expired a few months ago while the project was experiencing unforeseen delays. But the village board extended the permits Tuesday, with construction scheduled to begin shortly.

An exact opening date has not been set, but is expected to be near the end of the year, Gugliotta said.
