NCH offers free programs for seniors in June

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (May 27, 2015) - Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is hosting several free programs for adults over age 55 in June at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights. To register for the following programs at the Senior Center, call 847-253-5532. You do not need to be an Arlington Heights resident to attend.

• Thursday, June 4 - Colorectal cancer prevention and early detection - 11 a.m. to noon

• Wednesday, June 10 - Healthy cooking demo: Brown rice bowl - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Wednesday, June 10 - Diabetes education seminar - 9 to 10:30 a.m.

• Thursday, June 11 - Summer skin care - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Thursday, June 11 - Anxiety support group - 10 to 11:30 a.m.

• Friday, June 12 - Diabetes: Satisfying cravings - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Monday, June 15 - Rotator cuff injuries in the elderly - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Tuesday, June 16 - Exercise guidelines - 11a.m. to noon

• Thursday, June 18 - Breast health - noon to 1 p.m.

• Wednesday, June 24 - Over-the-counter meds - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Thursday, June 25 - Depression is not normal with aging - 10 to 11:30 a.m.
