East Dundee man found dead near Hoffman Estates

A 29-year-old East Dundee man was found dead Friday near Hoffman Estates in what officials are saying was an apparent suicide.

The man's body was recovered about 2:30 p.m. from the Beverly Lake Forest Preserve along Route 72 near the western border of Hoffman Estates.

Cook County Forest Preserve police searched the woods after a vehicle belonging to a missing person was found in the parking lot of the forest preserve.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office released information on the man's identity on Saturday.
