214@100: Mustangs come back home to teach

Not only are all teachers at Rolling Meadows High School devoted to educating their students, many are also graduates of Meadows themselves. Rolling Meadows has a large population of teachers who were once Meadows students, because the school has a lasting impact on each person who walks through the doors.

"When I think of RMHS, I always think of the people: the staff that taught me, my classmates, my current colleagues and all my students," French teacher Sara Kahle Ruiz said. "When I started working here, I was able to work alongside many of the amazing teachers that I had as a student. It is truly a privilege for me to teach here."

All the teachers at Rolling Meadows are truly dedicated to doing what they love, and many hope that some current students will return, just like they did, to teach alongside the staff that taught them.

• 214@100 is a celebration of District 214's centennial; 100 people, places, things and events that have shaped its unique history.
