Sip wine and learn to paint

The Light of the Heart, a not-for-profit art therapy initiative, offers a Paint and Pour event of painting and wine from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 7, in the Grand Gallery of the Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd., Aurora.

Local professional artists Maureen Gasek, Martin Soto and Kit Sunderland instruct guests how to paint on canvas. Each guest will work with one of the artists to create a painting to take home, while enjoying wine, coffee and hors d'oeuvres. All proceeds go to provide art therapy and counseling for children and teens.

Tickets cost $50 when purchased by Saturday, May 23, and $65 after. They may be purchase online at thelightoftheheart.org.
