Sanchez, White Sox edge Indians in pitcher's duel

If you like pitching duels, odds are extremely high you liked Monday night's game between the White Sox and Indians at U.S. Cellular Field.

Chris Sale started for the Sox and the left-handed ace was very good, allowing 1 run on 4 hits in 8 innings.

Corey Kluber started for Cleveland and the 2014 American League Cy Young Award winner was also very good.

With the game tied in the bottom of the 10th inning, the White Sox won 2-1 on Carlos Sanchez's RBI single off Zach McAllister.

Sale pitched 8 innings and allowed 1 run on 4 hits while striking out seven. The Indians' lone run off the left-hander came in the third inning, when Roberto Perez led off with a double and came home on Jose Ramirez' sacrifice fly.

Kluber pitched 9 innings and allowed 1 run on 5 hits while striking out 12.

The Sox tied the game in the sixth inning when Adam Eaton tripled with one out and scored on Kluber's wild pitch.
