Terson thanks residents for time on Buffalo Grove board

The Buffalo Grove village board ushered in a new era last week with former trustee Beverly Sussman moving over to the village president's seat formerly occupied by Jeffrey Braiman.

But Braiman, who served one term as village president and 10 years as a trustee, wasn't the only notable board departure this month.

Trustee Michael Terson, who lost in his re-election bid last month, also bid the board farewell.

Terson, who will continue to be involved in the community as an employee with the Buffalo Grove Park District, delivered a speech thanking a number of people, including the residents of Buffalo Grove for allowing him to serve the past four years.

"I truly enjoyed the work," he said. "It was time consuming, difficult, and even overwhelming at times. But it is an experience I will fully treasure."
