Mundelein High School club hosts triathlon

The Mundelein High School Triathlon Club will host the Mustang Triathlon on June 7 as a fundraiser. The race will begin at 6:30 a.m. at the high school, 1350 W. Hawley St.

Participants can sign up for three contests of varying difficulties involving running, biking and swimming. They are a 100-yard swim, 5-mile bike ride and 1-mile run; a 250-yard swim, 10-mile bike ride and 2-mile run; or a 500-yard swim, 15-mile bike ride and 3-mile run.

The signup cost is $10 for Mundelein High students or employees, and $15 for anyone else. Students and staffers can register at the school bookstore. Others can register online at bit.ly/1zIpeYR. Register by May 29 and get a commemorative T-shirt.
