Central Road closed in Des Plaines due to car vs. pedestrian accident

Central Road is closed between River and East River roads in Des Plaines due to a car vs. pedestrian crash that took place at 4 a.m., authorities said.

Cmdr. Mike Holdman said the area remains closed while police investigate the crash. He said it is unclear how long the roadway will remain closed.
