2% raises for Buffalo Grove Fire Department professional staff
Buffalo Grove firefighter-paramedics and lieutenants will get 2 percent pay increases, retroactive to May 1 and lasting until April 30, 2016, according to a side letter of agreement between the village and the Buffalo Grove Professional Firefighter/Paramedic Association that was approved this week. The letter calls for an amendment to the collective bargaining agreement that raises the entry salary for a firefighter-paramedic to $58,968 and the maximum, exclusive of overtime pay, to $96,135. For lieutenant-paramedics the salary range is now $75,291-$101,052 for those newly promoted; and $75,291-$111,096 for the others. For a fire lieutenant who is not a paramedic, the range is $73,804 - $99,055 for those newly promoted, and to $108,902 for the others. The current contract is for four years, and expires April 30, 2017.
