Flower wagons to visit Batavia neighborhoods

The Batavia Lions Club will be selling hanging baskets of fresh, locally grown flowers just in time for Mother's Day this Saturday, May 9 from hay wagons at the southeast corner of Wilson and Water streets (near Prairie Path Cycles), and the southwest corner of Wilson and Prairie streets (near the 7-11).

Roaming wagons will also be in neighborhoods on the east and west sides of Batavia.

The Lions Flower Sale has been a tradition in Batavia for over 30 years, and this year's proceeds are earmarked to fund the Batavia Lions scholarship awarded to a resident Batavia graduating senior going on to college or trade school.

For details, call Lion Dave Burdelak (630) 879-8289.
