Finalist from NBC's 'The Voice' plays the ECC Arts Center May 16

Nicholas David, finalist and fan favorite on Season 3 of NBC's "The Voice," will perform on Saturday, May 16, at the Elgin Community College Arts Center. David's performance will be held at 7 p.m. in the SecondSpace Theatre located in Building H on ECC's Spartan Drive Campus, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

David is a vibrant and dynamic singer, songwriter, and pianist who has been composing and performing "alternative soul music from the heart and for the heart" for over a decade. Hailing from St. Paul, Minn., David's powerful voice (which sounds like a mix of the growl of Dr. John with the silk of Marvin Gaye), enriching lyrics, and liquid piano embody an unbridled and infectious passion for music. It's no wonder why the thriving Twin Cities music scene affectionately refers to him as "the feelin'" and Skope Magazine calls David "an authentic artist of this millennium."

Tickets to David's performance are $25. David will be performing in the ECC Arts Center Club which transforms the Arts Center's SecondSpace Theatre into an intimate candlelit cabaret. At just 164 seats, audiences are close enough to see the artists every breath.

Dessert and wine will be available for sale from ECC's award-winning Culinary Arts and Hospitality Program. Tickets for all performances in the ECC Arts Center are available online at tickets.elgin.edu or at the ECC Arts Center box office. Box office hours are noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. To purchase tickets by phone, call (847) 622-0300. All major credit cards are accepted.
