Dietz heats up with the bat for Lakes

Molly Dietz's big day at the plate helped Lakes' softball team outslug Round Lake 20-8 in North Suburban Prairie Division action Tuesday.

Dietz went 3-for-5 with a home run, double and 3 RBI. Cassidy Schaar was 3-for-5 as well for the Lakes, hitting a pair of doubles. Ashley Horner (2-for-5, double) and winning pitcher Ally Perdue (2-for-3, 2 RBI) also contributed offensively for the Eagles.

Round Lake got 2 hits, including a home run, and 3 RBI from Ashley Wegner.

Crystal Lake South 4, Grayslake Central 2: The Gators scored twice in the top of the 10th to pull out the Fox Valley Conference win.

Melissa Obis homered for Grayslake Central (12-15, 3-4).
