Woodland with new board president

Woodland Elementary District 50 in Gurnee has a new board president. Board member Chris Schrantz was selected by his colleagues to hold the top spot at a meeting last week. Schrantz and board member Terry Hall, both incumbents, and newcomer Kellie Pappas were sworn in for four-year terms at the same meeting. Schrantz will hold the school board president seat for two years. Former board President Mark Vondracek didn't seek re-election in April. He was on the Woodland board since 2007.
