Compost bin, rain barrel, native plant sale

The Rain Barrel, Compost Bin and Native Plant Sale is set for Saturday, May 9, at the Independence Grove Forest Preserve in Libertyville. The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Compost bins, rain barrels and composting accessories will be offered at a reduced rate and there will be a variety of native plants, shrubs and trees available. Experts will be on hand to answer how-to and other questions. Native plants only will be available for sale Sunday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County, Lake County Stormwater Management Commission and Lake County Forest Preserve District.
