Carmel sweeps: Claire Petrus was the winning pitcher in both games as Carmel swept Joliet Catholic, 11-5, 1-0.

Sarah Koesser had a home run in the first game for Carmel and Jenny Behan had a home run in the second game.

Buffalo Grove 9, Vernon Hills 2: Dana Meline and Anna Cirone each had 2 hits to lead Vernon Hills. One of Meline's hits was a double.
