Huntley blanks Grayslake North

Huntley 4, Grayslake North 0: Not only did the Huntley girls soccer team grab a Fox Valley Conference crossover win over the Knights in dominant fashion Friday, the Red Raiders (11-2, 2-0) received this year's No. 1 seed in the IHSA Class 4A Jacobs regional. Huntley certainly played up to its postseason ranking as it held a 3-0 lead at the half. Deanna Hecht and Taryn Jakubowski each booted 2 goals in the win. Alyssa Kaufman tallied 2 assists and Emily Lopez and Victoria Padal each recorded 1. Goalkeeper Abbey Brown notched 7 saves for the shutout and Huntley's fourth-straight shutout win. It was also Huntley's fifth shutout in its last 6 games and its seventh win in 8 tries. The Red Raiders have also outscored their opponents 23-3 during that span.
