Larkin engineering students present their innovations

Larkin High School seniors in Diane Kriescher's engineering class have been preparing for this day's presentation all year.

The engineering design and development class is the capstone course in the Project Lead The Way pre-engineering curriculum.

These students have been working all year on a real world problem, researching the problem, and designing a possible solution. They made prototypes using the school's 3-D printers in the engineering lab and tested their prototypes for effectiveness.

One of the students, James Bonasera, created an innovative music stand that attaches to marching drums so music memorization will no longer be an issue.

The students presented their innovations to a panel of engineers in the Larkin High library.
