Hoffman Estates Fishing Derby returns June 6

The Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce & Industry - Sears Holdings Corporation Community Fishing Derby will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at South Ridge Lake, 1450 Freeman Road in Hoffman Estates.

Registration is $8 per person on site or $5 per person before June 1. You can register at the chamber office, 2200 W. Higgins Road, online at hechamber.com or at Cabela's or any Hoffman Estates Community Bank in the village. For more information, call (847) 781-9100.

Bring your own pole and tackle. No fishing license is required on this day in Illinois.

Coolers of food and nonalcoholic beverages are allowed, but all coolers will be checked for content.
