Barrington High School Presents Aladdin

Barrington High School's Fine Arts Department presents Aladdin April 30 and May 1 at 7pm and May 2 at 2pm & 7pm in the Richard C. Johnson Auditorium, Barrington High School, 616 W Main Street, Barrington.

Set on the Street of the Dancing Monkey, ALADDIN, a tale from The Arabian Nights, takes you on a journey filled with twists and turns, spells and potions, and reversals of fortune. Dreaming of love and adventure, a young boy named Aladdin meets a mysterious stranger in search of Aladdin's old lamp. Without knowing its magical powers, Aladdin is tricked into giving it to the stranger which sets Aladdin's adventure in motion. With the help of Toodle-de-Toos, his dancing monkey, and two wacky Genies, Aladdin must find the will to save himself and outwit the wicked stranger. After all, his new found love, the princess, is waiting for him at the palace.

The cast is led by director Lisa Southern and student assistant directors Marissa Longo and Meaghan Rivera. Aidan Fox plays Aladdin and Colleen Kelch plays his mischievous monkey Toodle-de-Toos. Lily O'Leary is the evil Zorah. Catherine Leonard and Jessica Malec are the Genie of the Ring and Genie of the Lamp, respectively. Eve Cusack plays the Princess and Jack Longo is her father, the Sultan. Mary Furlong plays the Grand Wazier. Marcela Ferrarone plays Darkana Nightglade and Emma Ferguson is the Mother of Aladdin. Kenzie Frysztak plays Serena, Carly Aboshadi plays Jada, and Liam Boyle plays Bulmar. Slaves, Attendants and Merchants are played by Cassandra Vargas, Olivia Geraci, Jena Hilgers, Sophia Gibbons, Emmie Davenport, Lizzie Kaboski, Nduka Aliberi, Filip Duda, Jake Mitchell, Micael Delgado, Nick Foster, Dilip Rao and Patrick Andrieson.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.bhsfinearts.org for $8 adults, $6 children/students and complimentary for senior citizens.
