Prospect Hts. dedicates tree for Arbor Day

Prospect Heights officials dedicated a swamp white oak tree in the Prospect Heights Slough Friday in observance of Arbor Day during an event hosted by the garden club.

Participants included club President Pat Massaccesi, Mayor Nick Helmer, Kathy Nowicki of the park district, Public Works Director Steve Cutaia and Natural Resources Commission Chairwoman Agnes Wojnarski.
