Libertyville High FBLA members qualify for national conference

Twenty-one members of the Libertyville High School Future Business Leaders of America Club competed at the 66th Annual Illinois FBLA State Leadership Conference March 27-28 in Springfield.

Seven of the LHS team members qualified to compete at the National Leadership Conference, which will be June 29 to July 2 in Chicago.

LHS FBLA team members received the following group and individual honors:

Group events:

• Grant Dean, Sam Gold and Alex Kratcoski: frst place, Entrepreneurship: national qualifier;

• Michael Watson and Owen Hasler: seconnd place, Sports & Entertainment Marketing: national qualifier;

• Anmol Shah and Nihar Phadke: seventh place, Business Presentation;

• Dolores Palmieri, Natalie Chow and Kelsey Schweiger: seventh place, Digital Design & Promotion;

• Alec Zhang and Daniel Zou: seventh place, Website Design;

• Michelle Ji and Katie Xu: eghth place, Hospitality Management.

Individual Events:

• Amanda Fan: first place, Intro to Information Technology: national qualifier;

• Katie Vrba: third place, Social Media Campaign: national qualifier;

• Yifan Sun: fifth place, Intro to Parliamentary Procedure;

• Jackson Szabo: seventh place, Accounting II;

• Tim Miller: 10th place, Business Law.

FBLA is a national organization providing youth with an interest in business a venue to share, network, and compete with others on local, state and national levels.
