13 overboard tweets from teens picking a college

Applying to college is stressful. But after months spent filling out forms, deciphering such acronyms as FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and EFC (expected family contribution); strategically selecting early-decision schools; and waiting endlessly to hear back, a few lucky and hardworking students are rewarded with an inbox full of acceptance offers.

Apparently, that's where the problems start. With springtime comes blooming trees, new college acceptance letters, and a social media explosion of emoji-filled humble bragging. Some of the worst offenders below.

1. This reads like revisionist history.

2. Maybe some recently rejected friends can spare some time to help?

3. Sadly, stress levels probably haven't peaked.

4. Having to pick a college basically ruins the whole college experience.

5. Impossible dilemmas.

6. ... comparable to being trapped in your worst nightmare.

7. To be fair, snack decisions are pretty agonizing.

8. Some people have figured out a good way to narrow down their choices.

9. There's also the option of not caring at all.

10. Decide on your priorities before making a decision. Sanitation is one.

11. Fashion is another.

12. Random selection is always a possibility.

13. Whatever method they choose, it clearly feels good when the agony of choice is behind them.
