Fans pick their favorite in 'I Love Lake County' song search
Waukegan resident Dylan Kroll has been selected as the Fan Vote Winner in the Visit Lake County "I Love Lake County" song search.
His song is titled "Lake County the Bounty of Illinois."
For the past four years Kroll has performed in the Six Flags a cappella quartet Da Offbeats, according to a news release.
Kroll will perform for locals on May 14 at Mickey Finn's Brewery in Libertyville.
"I'm so thankful that Visit Lake County hosted a competition that showcases local musicians and songwriters," Kroll said in the news release. "I feel very honored to have been selected as the Fan Favorite.
"It was a nostalgic joy to write lyrics about all of the places I have come to know and love in Lake County."
A panel of judges will select the contest's Ultimate Grand Prize winner, who will get his or her song professionally recorded, a music video created for the song and the chance to perform at multiple summer festivals.
