Elgin's Fideliter Club names Henn-Pritchard as president

The Fideliter Club of Elgin, one of the most long-standing nonprofit organizations in the area established in 1888, is pleased to announce that Bonnie Henn-Pritchard of Elgin is the 2015 president of the organization.

An accomplished business professional, Henn-Pritchard retired after 30 years of experience in technology at BNSF Railway in Dallas and United Airlines in Chicago.

As the group's leader, Henn-Pritchard is pleased to use her ability to build relationships, define realistic goals and objectives, and help people work through change as the club seeks to re-brand its image and focus on "Feeding Children" in the greater Elgin area.

Through its annual Fideliter Charities Ball and raffle donations, the organization raised funds last year to recently have donated $5,000 each to three local nonprofit organizations: Boys and Girls Club of Elgin, Food for Greater Elgin, and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

The Fideliter Club $5,000 donation to the Food for Greater Elgin was presented in honor of the late Bernice Gromer, who had been a member of the Fideliter Club since 1966. Her daughter Cheryl Gromer was in attendance at the ceremony.

In addition to the cash donations, members of the Fideliter Club will volunteer their time each month at one of the three nonprofit organizations who are the designated Fideliter Club "Hunger and Pantry Partners."

The group recently held a "birthday party" for the children at the Boys and Girls Club of Elgin, providing cupcakes and treats.

The main objective of the Fideliter Club of Elgin is to provide monetary assistance to local nonprofit organizations whose primary focus is feeding children in the greater Elgin area.

There are currently 21 active members, five lifetime members, and 10 emeritus members of the Fideliter Club of Elgin. They represent a cross-section of business and professional backgrounds, both active and retired, who have contributed many years of service to the greater Elgin community.
