214@100: Young Adult Program helps teens get to graduation

Recognizing that high school graduation is not an endpoint but rather an important step toward a successful future, District 214's evening Young Adult Program gives students the opportunity to obtain the credits they need to satisfy graduation requirements.

Students in the program, who range in age from 16 to 20, may have different reasons for leaving school or falling behind in credit hours. But they share a reason for attending the Young Adult Program - a desire to learn collaboratively alongside peers and with the guidance of outstanding instructors. Under the leadership of Coordinator Dan Williams, the students develop the skills and complete the courses necessary to a diploma and take the next step toward their future.
