New stairs to be built outside Allstate Arena

The aging stairs leading up to the Allstate Arena on the stadium's north side will be replaced, officials said Monday.

The stairs off Lunt Avenue will be demolished, and new concrete poured to form new ones, Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens said.

The work, recently approved by the village board, will cost $91,700. Construction is expected to begin in May.
