Slate will protect Barrington's charm

There are two slates of candidates running for the Village board in Barrington. One slate is the "Incumbent Slate" consisting of the experienced and dedicated incumbents Jim Daluga and Bob Windon, along with already active Jason Lohmeyer.

The incumbents have done a great job of preserving the quaint charm and character of Barrington. All three on this slate should be elected.

The other slate consisting of Mike Kozel, JoAnn Fletcher, and Maureen Yates should be referred to as the "High-Rise Slate." Their entire reason for running is to plant large apartment buildings in the Barrington downtown.

If they had their say, I believe they would gladly approve six- or seven-story apartment buildings. They wanted some across from the Catlow.

The "Incumbent Slate" are not totally opposed to some apartments, but they will approve them in the right places and to the right size.

The other slate apparently likes the looks of Palatine. They really should just move there as they would be much happier. In fact, if they like Palatine, they would really love Arlington Heights.

Vote for the "Incumbents" to preserve the quaint charm and character of our beautiful town.
