Long Grove desperately needs a change

Long Grove is at a tipping point. Our choice on Tuesday will make the difference in whether we ever have the opportunity to return the historic downtown to a vibrant commercial and community gathering place or whether we become yet another Highland Park, losing forever what is/was special about Long Grove.

Maybe even more important, we will decide whether our village government moves toward transparency, cooperation, respect for residents or we continue with trustees who sit with their heads together at board meetings giggling and rolling their eyes while others speak and then when it's their turn, bring forward motions never previously discussed in public.

LG has recently had to respond to an allegation from the state's attorney regarding Open Meetings Act violations. It's embarrassing to our community.

We need to replace trustees who operate in sardonic, caustic, divisive and dysfunctional ways. Let's start that process on April 7. Don't be fooled by the wordsmith's untruths arriving in your mail by the "investing" slate.

The Daily Herald said "Not sure what this group is investing in, but it's certainly not the truth."

Please vote for a return to truth, cooperation, respect, intellect and vision.

Let's take our community back and get something done! Vote Jacob/Borys/Sarlitto.
