Participate in poster contest for Barrington's 150th anniversary
To celebrate the village of Barrington's 150th anniversary, Amdur Productions and Barrington village hall are inviting community members to create an original poster that represents the village of Barrington. The poster contest is free and open to the public now through April 20, at midnight.
The winning entry will be adapted for use as a Barrington commemorative poster and sold at the festival. All entries, however, will be on display at the sixth annual Barrington Art Festival, produced by Amdur Productions, which runs Memorial weekend, May 23 and 24.
Poster contest guidelines:
• Use your favorite media (paint, pencil, collage, photography, mixed media, etc.).
• Must include a reference to the 150th anniversary of the village of Barrington.
• Finished size 11"x 17" without frame or mat, landscape or portrait.
• Must submit a digital copy - jpeg (300dpi) file of your artwork to: Angie@AmdurProductions.com. Your original copy must be sent to the village of Barrington or Amdur Productions. You can drop off or mail in the original.
• Submissions must be labeled with name, address, phone, email and title, along with the signed rules and regulations form that can be found here.
Entries are categorized by age group: Youth grades K-8; high school/college, ages 15-22; and adults, ages 22 and older.
The deadline for submission is April 20
