LHS FBLA Members Qualify for National Conference

Twenty-one members of the Libertyville High School Future Business Leaders of America Club competed at the 66th Annual Illinois FBLA State Leadership Conference held March 27 - 28 in Springfield. Seven of the LHS team members qualified to compete at the National Leadership Conference scheduled for June 29 - July 2 in Chicago.

LHS FBLA team members received the following group and individual honors:

Group Events:

Grant Dean, Sam Gold and Alex Kratcoski -- 1st Place, Entrepreneurship - National Qualifier

Michael Watson and Owen Hasler -- 2nd Place, Sports & Entertainment Marketing - National Qualifier

Anmol Shah and Nihar Phadke -- 7th Place, Business Presentation

Dolores Palmieri, Natalie Chow and Kelsey Schweiger -- 7th Place, Digital Design & Promotion

Alec Zhang and Daniel Zou -- 7th Place, Website Design

Michelle Ji and Katie Xu -- 8th Place, Hospitality Management

Individual Events:

Amanda Fan - 1st Place, Intro to Information Technology - National Qualifier

Katie Vrba -- 3rd Place, Social Media Campaign - National Qualifier

Yifan Sun - 5th Place, Intro to Parliamentary Procedure

Jackson Szabo -- 7th Place, Accounting II

Tim Miller -- 10th Place, Business Law

FBLA is a national organization providing youth with an interest in business a venue to share, network, and compete with others on local, state and national levels.
