Bring your old shoes to AID for recycling
Donate your old shoes to the Association for Individual Development.
This program helps AID raise funds to continue its mission of empowering people with physical, developmental, intellectual or mental health challenges to enjoy lives with dignity and purpose.
The shoes need to be in pairs, but not high heels over 2 inches, slippers, ice skates or roller skates, winter/rubber boots, or extremely damaged or broken shoes.
Donations are accepted at the following Aurora locations: Thompson Center, 309 New Indian Trail Court, (630) 966-4000; Keeler Center, 409 New Indian Trail Court, (630) 859-1144; Highland Avenue, 1230 N. Highland Ave., (847) 859-1291; and Plum Street, 1630 Plum St., (630) 966-4475; or at the Elgin location, 1135 Bowes Road, (847) 931-6200.
Reception desk hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
