NCH offers free programs for seniors in April

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (April 1, 2015) - Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is hosting several free programs for adults over age 55 in April at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights. To register for the following programs at the Senior Center, call 847-253-5532. You do not need to be an Arlington Heights resident to attend.

• Wednesday, April 8 - Healthy cooking demo: Easy fruit salad - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Thursday, April 9 - Anxiety workshop - 10 to 11:30 a.m.

• Thursday, April 9 - Benefits of massage therapy - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Friday, April 10 - Rejuvenate your diabetes management plan - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Thursday, April 16 - Deep brain stimulation for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and depression - noon to 1 p.m.

• Friday, April 17 - What should be done during an annual check-up: Should I choose to have one? - 10 to 11:30 a.m.

• Monday, April 20 - Get a grip on your bladder - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Tuesday, April 21 - Crochet and cancer networking group - 11 a.m. - noon

• Wednesday, April 22 - What you eat contributes to your health and longevity - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Thursday, April 23 - What you need to know about domestic violence - 10 to 11:30 a.m.
